Man and Van FAQs

We offer a Man and Van service for all you small move needs. Take a look at our FAQ’s below.

When will I receive my quote?

Within 24 hours of the surveyor visiting you.

How long will the move take?

This varies massively as every move is different. We can give you an idea when we quote along with the volume of the move.

Are there any extra charges?

We lay out everything clearly within our quotes. This way you know exactly what you have to pay.

Do I have to organise parking?

We can organise the parking for you if you do not want to do it yourself.. Please view our parking guides for a rough idea on how much your council will charge.

Can you dump or recycle furniture?

Yes. We work with a local hospice and other Charites to re-home your items. Alternatively we can also quote to dispose of these for you.

Can I ride in the van?

Yes of course. Providing that there is room in the van, speak with a member of our team should you require this.

How do you transport clothes?

We use wardrobe boxes, to keep the clothes hanging between properties, and all for FREE.

Can I keep the wardrobe boxes?

As we re-use these boxes on a daily basis, we take them back at the end of the move, however if you wish to keep these, please purchase some from our box shop. We can send these out via courier to you or bring these on the day of the move to save delivery costs.

Do you charge the same rate as weekends?

We charge the same rate Monday to Saturday. Sundays are slightly more as we pay our guys overtime

How do you transport TVs?

We have a range of quilted covers to protect all sized TVs, please click here to see all our covers and how we protect other items of furniture.

Some of my furniture needs dis-mantling or taking down, will you do this for me?

Yes not a problem. Discuss these items during the survey and we will let you know whether these items are free or chargeable. Any items that are chargeable will be quoted separately so you can choose.

What if there are more or less items than the origional quote?

Let us know as soon as possible. It is important to make sure we are still using big enough vehicles to move your belongings.

When should I get a quote?

The sooner the better. It’s best to get a quote so you know the cost of moving. We can also provide boxes in the early stages of moving so you can have a sort out. Don’t worry if there are items you may be getting rid of, just point them out during the survey and we will simply exclude them from the quote. To make the house more appealing we also have a de-cluttering service where we offer storage whilst you are selling your property.

How much notice do I have to give you before I move?

Typically most exchange and completions happen with two weeks’ notice so we start to get booked up this far in advance. But we often have space available less than two weeks so give us a call and we can let you know our availability.

What if I run out of boxes?

Give us a call and we can get more sent out to you.
